ABC News Propecia news story

Ha!

Many thanks to all of you who sacrificed your privacy to the benefit of many. Specially Kevin and “Broken Pecker”. Many thanks to Mew, who made this all possible. This is a very, very happy day for me. Congratulations, very good job!

I have written many times here to news programs and reporters trying to get exposure to this issue in Brazil. I know how hard it is. I ll will keep trying, with the added bonus of having Dr Jacobs, Kevin, Dr. Irwig on video explaining our problem. In one day, we gained so much more material to validate our claims. Awareness will grow exponencially from now on.

Thank You!!

P. S.: Broken, were you interviewed for a web article? I didn´t find it. Do you have the link?

The media awareness keeps growing:

Today, we were contacted by CNN Health and they plan to do a story on the problem.

I don’t have any further details on this yet but will keep you all posted.

Yes I tried calling … They haven’t called me back as of yet. Obviously will keep on it.

I was interviewed for the original abcnews article that kind of started all this yesterday. I also interviewed over the phone with abc world news but due to my geographic location was not able to get a face to face interview in time. Here is a link to the original article that yahoo posted on their site.

I was told by Dr. Irwig the following:

“They told me around 11:00 AM Eastern time but they were not 100% sure that it was going to air.”

Good job man!

Thanks my main goal was to try to get them to talk about some of the devestating mental side effects, often largely ignored by the media and medical communities. To some extent I think I succeeded.

This is on the CNN website:

cnn.com/2012/07/13/health/propecia-healthland-baldness-drug/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

I saw that video and they mistakenly quoted or misrepresented that Dr. Irwig’s study was funded by legal firms, which is completely untrue.

I checked with Dr. Irwig and he also noticed this discrepancy. He has contacted CNN to clarify what happened, but there was no funding for either of his studies and they were done on his own time.

Yeah I didn’t like hearing that. Even if it was true… Less than $10 000 is nothing… But once they say, let’s follow the money trail it casts doubt on the research.

They also seemed to try to down play the incidence side effects and even actually stated less then .1% which I don’t think has ever been concluded.

Makes me wonder what their agenda is and if Merck maybe one of their major sponsors.

I was contacted by E! And offered my own reality tv show.

Jk

Fuck my face is still on yahoo.

Now filed under “most popular” right beneath Brangelina.

There is a user “Dan” in the comments section that could be shilling for Merck, claims no side effects 8 years on drug etc, blames those with side effects’ issues as hypchonrdriacs etc… sort the comments from newest to oldest to see.

Actually Dr Irwig has said “1 in 1000” in other interviews.

But yes, it is pretty bizarre that their reporter (Elizabeth Cohen) would invent a figure like $10,000.

there are plenty of nay sayers in the comment sections, who cares what they think, they cant fix us and we have proof of our problems … screw the doubters, they will always be there out of their own stupidity, they mean nothing to us

Just comment back… there’s really not much he can do to argue about my circumstances. Regardless if people want to keep taking the crap of their own accord and fully knowing this could potentially happen… thats their problem. Maybe they’ll be here one day regretting it.

i called him a schill like 80 times on all of his posts under another name
