A few questions

Hey I’m about 9 months on 1.25mg Propecia and am tapering off now with the intention of going fully off soon. I’ve tapered down to 1 tablet every 2 days for the last few weeks, how slowly should I now taper to zero and in what routine?

The last few months have been very rough. I don’t know if it is to do with Propecia or just many other lifestyle factors (career changes, low self esteem, etc) but I’ve hit feelings of depression, anxiety, fatigue and general weakness and indecisiveness that I’ve never experienced before. Hoping that quitting makes it help go away.

I don’t know if its related but has anyone experienced a kind of lightheadedness? Particularly around the back of the head and ears? This has been happening to me recently.

Be prepared that once you do quit you may get worse like a lot of us here did

All you describe is definitely related to your use of Propecia

Give it a few months before you really draw any conclusions… hopefully your problems are related to something else and will prove to be temporary. There’s not much sense in overly worrying yourself now so try to relax and give it time.

These kinds of symptoms have been experienced by PFS patients, very possibly because 5-alpha-reductase is critical in the creation of neurosteroids which play a role in cognitive functioning.
