I’m not really in to chit chat on this board, but i’ve thought about this a few times so i’d thought i’d post it. A cure for us - say through Awor’s efforts - would also benefit Merck, as it would provide a safety net for them to give to prospective users who may fall victim to PFS. They might see sales go through the roof, as the danger and mystery behind the drug would be removed.
I dont think somebody who started a fire is the one to put it out.

This is one reason why any money from a the lawsuits should go toward finding out what the deal is and coming up with a solution.

Them finding a cure for us would be equivalent to them saying “we screwed up, its our fault.” They will never do that for liability concerns.

I didn’t mean to infer in this thread that we go to Merck and try and explain to them that we both have the same goals in drug development. But it’s interesting to hear the angle you thought i was coming from - that if Propecia sales take a nosedive because of the hammering it is taking at the moment due to persistent side effects, that Merck may want to work with us looking for a cure that would solve all our problems. What a hilarious turn of events that would be but i take your points about ‘accepting liability’ and especially about being ‘pure evil’ so it’s probably a non-starter.
I was merely just throwing it out there, that by getting ourselves better through our own methods, we might find ourselves in the strange situation of indadvertedly helping out the guys who put us in this hellish state of existence. You never know, they may be secretly backing us in the background. If Mew and Awor get a big fat anonymous cheque through the post for the research project, we’ll know who sent it. Covert deals PFS style.
In summary, this whole thing is just a complete and utter mess!
merck will lie and cheat and kill to protect themselves from their crimes, that is what they do in these situations. it will be proven that finasteride changed us and they will not be able to deny it. plus, it is persistent without any doubt, no matter how many little improvments i make, they are always short lived and i always revert back to pfs state … to me, that is permenant.
we should all start thinking of ways to create funds for research money. if we stick together we will come up with some good things i think. i am already stashing the little bit of money i have so i can make a donation. if we stick together we can beat this thing … or at least give it our best effort!
The methods for doing just that should be available any day now. I know they said this a few months ago bug things are really close.

A large anonymous donation has already been made toward a research project… Somewhere on earth. I shouldn’t/can’t be more specific

I would but I don’t know who it is nor do I think anyone on here does. It was totally anonymous… Perhaps a rich sufferer somewhere out there.
Also we have the work going on in Italy which will hopefully turn up good things.
