That’s impossible for me to tell. I can’t look at my epigenome right now or 5 years ago.

But I’ll have to point out there are other tricks than fasting.

First, no matter what tricks are used, it is my understanding that being in ketosis (ketogenic diet) act in synergy with the repair process. In my opinion, that’s the most efficient thing.

Other tricks:

  • Cold showers
  • Hot saunas
  • Exercising while glycogen depleted (either on a fast or being in ketosis)
  • Fasting, intermittent fasting,
  • Caloric restriction (but not for a prolong period of time. It slows down the metabolism. Same for fasting)
  • Running until out of breath.

All of those produce sirtuin proteins, some of which regulate the demethylase enzyme.
