18 year old, took 9 Propecia pills... It's killing me

I’m damn horny all the time, I get nocturnal and morning erections, even emissions. I grow facial and body hair like a motherfucker and I’m prematurely bald. But when it’s time to perform and take control of the action, I get so damn soft and lose the interest. And of course the ejaculate quality is still poor. Why?!?!

Performance anxiety – likely psychological.

Ejaculate issues – prostate damage from Fin.

Sounds like you’ve recovered aside from the above, so count yourself lucky!

Fanjeera, seriously man…you are recovered… You seem like just a teenager who is scared shitless of sex, who doesn’t seem to exhibit any problems but psychological…

My advice is to get off this site, have some wine and start fucking man…Your mental block is one that can be overcome because you seem physically FINE…

Fanjeera,

Me too unfortunately. I went through a period of a few weeks some time after quiting where they returned. Now I am back to no morning erections at all.

You really think that prostate influences the ejaculate that much? I think the problem lies somewhere deeper.

Had another nocturnal emission (2 nights in a row now!), but I discovered that my erection isn’t actually rigid, when I sleep. I somehow managed to check it several times this night. Interesting that the actual glory occurs in the morning while half asleep.
The only good thing this shit has lead me to is that I know my future plans. I am trying my best to learn good with this stress and become a pharmacist. It seems the only way for reaching real knowledge and discovering something helpful.

I don’t think, I know. Now you will know why, too:

Spend some time researching on your own and you will likely find the answers to your questions. Finasteride causes molecular changes akin to chemical castration in the prostate, leading to prostatic atrophy and involution, due to cell death.

Consequently, you get less ejaculate volume and force. This is not hard to understand.

Ok then, you can go believe whatever you want to believe, instead of scientific facts that document exactly what the drug does, and what the function of the prostate is in the male.

Fact is, Finasteride destroys the prostate. There’s no guarantees it will “recover” 100% after quitting the medication, despite what Merck might claim. So, you might just end up with lowered ejaculate output and force post-Fin, although it is bound to improve compared to when on the drug.

Thanks a lot! I finally found what I was looking for. Strange that doctors don’t agree with this. The ones I’ve visited say that prostate doesn’t play such a big role.
I don’t feel so home at researching on my own as I’m not that good in English and have lots of studying in my hands.
Or perhaps finasteride destroys the 5ar2 permanently and therefore doesn’t let the 5ar2-DHT dependant prostate function?

Going to see an endo in the end of this month. Hopefully I won’t get humiliated and sent to a psychologist this time… Should I start talking about testing 3a-diol-g?
I’m pretty sure that my estradiol 244 (<206 pmol/L) isn’t high enough out of the borders for them. And if I talk about my low FSH, they say it’s good, always. Hopefully I’ll get some knowledge about the hormone androstenedione at least.

I’m able to have sex almost twice a day now, but the problem is my erection gets soft while doing it. Not that it would stop me orgasming, but it’s probably not very pleasurable for a woman. So the problem is sustain now.

Try not orgasming when you have sex a few times. Or masturbate but stop well before climax. See how you react after a few times. This usually leaves me with a much harder erection over the course of a couple days.

I can’t see the point in that. When I’m having sex I want to orgasm also. I usually get soft when I’m on a second round which I am able after like an hour or two. If I haven’t had orgasms in a while I can of course sustain a good erection.

you are normal dude. I don’t know what r u doing here?

I have to agree. Take a break from this site man. It sounds like you just have some performance anxiety.

The point is that having an orgasm burns up what you need to keep your erection functioning it’s best during sex. From my experience. Does it hurt to try?

I think it would be very awkward to stop the intercourse before climaxing for both of us.

Whatever. Quit whining unless you are willing to try something new. Stimulation without orgasm has been used by men for a long time to increase performance. It’s difficult to justify spending energy writing you suggestions which have worked for me when you’re not open to considering them.

Haven’t posted for awhile again. Nothing new actually.
I just need to cry again that my sperm is still very liquid and transparent. It doesn’t fly so much and the amount is very low. No improvement in the area.
And what bothers me the most is the strange light feeling the penis. And I can see how it has become lighter from the flickering when I shake it or move my body. WHAT causes this? I know that my sperm is bad because of prostate damage, but I can’t see what could be affecting the weight of my penis. It’s so absurd and no doctor believes this.
I can have sex, but I sometimes lose the erection in the middle of the intercourse. Nothing that horrible. I hear about that happening to my friends a lot and I think it’s normal, if you have sex daily.
So my life is still very stressed and unhappy. At least I am making progress at staying away from this board, so I get no extra depression. I’m hoping to find the answer in the future on my own – I am now learning medicine in my country’s best university. No doubt that I’m going to specialize on endocrinology or andrology. That’s the only good thing Propecia has given to me: a direction in life and a lot knowledge.

I wish I had only taken 9 pills compared to the over 9 months I was on it for. Weird though that from the way you talk about it that I’ve recovered better than you have.

Why don’t you get your thyroid checked out.

The excess estrogen that our bodies start producing and lack of progesterone can us hypothyroidism in us.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypothyroidism

It’s not quite as well as stated on here, but it’s possible Fin does damage to your thyroid gland.

I didn’t really start getting better until after getting my thyroid treated, now I’m pretty much recovered, but some brain fog still persists, probably nerve damage in the brain caused by an underactive thyroid for so long.

I once checked my thyroid hormones. TSH was on the low side and T3 was too much, so I’m more like hyper.

what about ur DHT?
